International Science and Technology Institute, Inc. Financial Management Specialist: Coffee Exporting Cooperative, Cameroon (1992-94)
  • Resident Financial Advisor to the NWCA Board of Directors in privatizing major coffee marketing cooperative, North West Cooperative Association. Bamenda, Cameroon.
  • Banking. Convened a commercial bank consortium to underwrite pre-export coffee credit. Structured export credit facilities in a collateralized sequence of buyer contracts, warehouse receipt collateral, export letters of credit, controlled disbursement cash management. Structured a standby letter of credit guarantee. Advised credit unions on practical methods to lend to small coffee farmers against their sales receipts collateral.
  • Responsible for installing computer platforms to link 3-tiers of coffee marketing, mills and producer cooperatives. Managed teams of consultants implementing accounting systems & controls reengineering.
